Drop-in activities in Burntwood – from £2

Come along to one of our drop-in Active Lichfield wellbeing sessions taking place in venues across Burntwood.

Booking is not required on sessions unless stated otherwise.

Adult football (learning disability)

  • Burntwood Leisure Centre, High Street, Chasetown (WS7 3XH)
  • Tuesdays (term time only)
  • 1-2pm
  • £3 per session
  • Football based activities and games for ages 16+. Each week has fun activities followed by a match & penalty shoot out.

Gentle fit

  • The Wellbeing and Wellness Coach – Yoga Studio (WS7 0DW)
  • Wednesdays
  • 1.30-2.15pm
  • £2.50 per session
  • Gentle Fit is a combination of low impact cardiovascular aerobics done to music, targeting large muscle groups in order to build endurance and muscle strength.
  • Sessions are delivered by The Wellbeing & Wellness Coach.

Walking football

  • Burntwood Leisure Centre, High Street, Chasetown (WS7 3XH)
  • Tuesday & Friday
  • 1pm to 2pm
  • Ages 50 and over
  • £3 a session (first session free)
  • Walking football is a great way to get fit and play your favourite game at a more moderate pace. Sessions are delivered by a fully qualified FA Football Coach.
  • Sessions are delivered by Midlands Soccer Academy.

Pickleball

  • Burntwood Leisure Centre, High Street, Chasetown (WS7 3XH)
  • Mondays 2-4pm
  • Sessions are for all ages
  • £2.50 a session
  • Sessions delivered by the Heart of England Pickleball.
  • Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.

Parent and baby yoga 

  • The Wellbeing and Wellness Coach – Yoga Studio (WS7 0DW)
  • Tuesdays
  • 1pm to 2pm
  • Refreshments following the session 2pm to 2.30pm.
  • £2.50 a session (first session free)
  • Babies must be at least 8 weeks old, have some head control and are non-walkers.
  • Mums who attend should either have had their 6-week health check or 12 weeks post C-section.
  • Sessions are delivered by The Wellbeing & Wellness Coach.

Chair yoga

  • Thursdays
  • 11.30am to 12.30pm
  • Adults only
  • £2.50 a session (first session free)

Walking cricket

  • Burntwood Leisure Centre, High Street, Chasetown (WS7 3XH)
  • Thursdays
  • 2.30pm to 4pm
  • Ages 50 and over
  • £2.50 a session
  • A slower-paced, indoor format of the game ideal for men and women aged 50 plus, walking cricket is the perfect way to remain involved with the game and meet new people while staying active. Delivered in partnership with Staffordshire Cricket.

Women’s wellbeing yoga

  • Thursdays
  • 7.30pm to 8.30pm
  • Ages 30+
    £2.50 a session (first session free)
  • Classes are designed to educate and support a woman as she deals with the natural fluctuations of her physical strength & energy, changes in moods & emotions and her ability to deal with stress & mental wellness. The classes use movement, stillness, breathwork and relaxation to stretch, strengthen and balance the different layers of the body.
  • Sessions are delivered by The Wellbeing & Wellness Coach.
