Active Lichfield Walks

Walking Football

We run a variety of walking football sessions for all levels of ability, at different locations across the district.

Walking football is a great way to get fit and play your favourite game at a more moderate pace. Sessions are delivered by a fully qualified FA Football Coach and are Covid-secure.

Burntwood Walking Football (mixed)

All Burntwood walking football sessions are delivered from Burntwood Leisure Centre. Please ensure you pay for your sessions at Burntwood Leisure Centre reception and show the receipt to the coach.

An informal kick about session, giving you the opportunity to meet new people in a friendly setting. Discounted refreshments are available after each session .

This session delivers walking football with a more competitive edge, giving you match opportunities, fixtures against other teams and tournaments with the Staffordshire Walking Football League.

Followed by refreshments in the Discovery Hub in Beacon park straight after the session.

Please ensure you pay for your sessions at the Ranger Station in the park and show your receipt to the coach.

Active Fitness

A fast thirty minute exercise blast using high intensity cardio techniques, delivered in partnership with Lichfield Fitness Community.

Walking Cricket

A slower-paced, indoor format of the game ideal for men and women aged 50 plus, walking cricket is the perfect way to remain involved with the game and meet new people while staying active. Delivered in partnership with Staffordshire Cricket.

Inspire Disability Sessions

King Edward’s Sports Centre
Every other Thursday

The Inspire disability multi-sport club is designed for children with disabilities (aged 7 to 18 years), their siblings and parents.
The club gives local families the opportunity to try a range of sports in a relaxed and informal environment with qualified coaches.

On arrival a parent or responsible adult will need to complete a participant consent form.

Women’s Wellbeing Yoga

Friary Grange Leisure Centre
Thursdays
6pm to 7pm
Ages 35 to 55

Classes are designed to educate and support a woman as she deals with the natural fluctuations of her physical strength & energy, changes in moods & emotions and her ability to deal with stress & mental wellness. The classes use movement, stillness, breathwork and relaxation to stretch, strengthen and balance the different layers of the body.

Please ensure you pay for your sessions at Friary Grange Leisure Centre reception and show the receipt to the instructor.

Sessions are delivered by Kelsey Taylor Yoga.
