Birmingham 2022 is staging the 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay – an epic journey across the Commonwealth, with The Queen’s Baton visiting all 72 nations and territories.

On Wednesday 20 July 2022, the Queen’s Baton will make its way through Lichfield District just eight days prior to the opening of the games.

To support this prestigious event we are looking to recruit volunteers to help marshal the route.

Your duties on the day will include:

• To advise the Zone Manager of any events concerning the baton relay convoy
• To inform the Zone Manager of any issues that occur during the passing of the baton surrounding public order
• To be proactive in engaging with the public if they have any concerns with public order
• To engage with the public to offer general advice and to respond to general enquiries
