Lichfield District Council has a garden at the National Memorial Arboretum (NMA).
It’s on your left as you face the centre-piece Armed Forces Memorial.
For our garden, we’ve used trees and signposts to show the geographical location of each of our parishes.
The trees surround the parish of Lichfield, which is represented with an installation in the shape of Lichfield Cathedral.
Over the years many people have placed wreaths at specific parishes and have taken a moment to contemplate local loved ones.
In 2016 we gave the garden a makeover, including new signposts, interpretation and new planting.
The NMA is on Croxall Road, Alrewas in Staffordshire. Find out more about visiting the National Memorial Arboretum.
Do remember to visit our garden while you’re there.
