Thanks to funding from the Staffordshire Police & Fire Commissioner, SPACE passes are making a welcome return this summer. For £20 a pass young people aged from 8 to 17 can enjoy:
SPACE summer passes are on sale at Burntwood and Friary Grange leisure centres from 8 July 2019.
As part of the SPACE initiative, there are lots of free activities on offer for young people this summer. Here’s a bit more detail and how you can find out more and book onto the activities:
Join Fun Club for free fun in the sun this summer. All activities are run by qualified DBS checked youth and community workers.
Junior sessions for 8 to 13 year olds will run from 6.30pm to 8pm and senior sessions for 13 to 17 year olds will run from 8.15pm to 9.30pm. There is no need to book – just turn up!
Open House (Cherry Close, Burntwood)
There will also be a Family Day at Redwood Park on Wednesday 21 August from 12noon to 4pm.
Little Green Frog, Lichfield
There will also be a Family Day at Curborough Community Centre in north Lichfield on Sunday 25 August from 12noon to 4pm.

The team at Edingale Village Hall is working with Freedom Leisure and the Fun Club to run activities including sports and snacks, multi sports, glow sports, dodgeball, karaoke and a summer party. Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is running activities at Gentleshaw Common this summer. They will include Get Wild sessions which feature a morning of exploration of the great outdoors. Activities may include: den building, minibeast hunting and much more and are for 8 to 17 year olds. Booking is essentil – click on the ‘Get Wild’ links to find out more and book your place.

Liberty work with young people who live with learning and physical disabilities and/or mental ill health. They will be running the following activities from 22 to 26 July 2019:
Liberty offers a transitional programme for those aged 10 moving into their SEND high school as well as offering young people up to the age of 16 an opportunity to engage in a five-day holiday programme. Lichfield Cathedral will be running STEM activities, based around science and space. There will be activities on Monday to Saturday from 1.30 – 3.30pm throughout the holidays as well as an Explorer Dome (inflatable planetarium) on Saturday 3 and Monday 12 August. You will need to book on for the Explorer Dome at the Cathedral Gift Shop or at www.lichfield-cathedral.org.
